Apprenticeships (Company Information)

Are you interested in taking on a young person aged between 16 and 25 ?

Are you willing to allow them time away from work in order to attend a reconised training provider?

Are you prepared to assist them in gaining the skills necessary to develop a full time career within the engineering industry?

If the answer to the above questions is YES, then BEMA's apprenticeship schemes may be of interest.

BEMA will:-

  • Initiate Health and Safety check. Following this we would give help and advice and ongoing checks to ensure compliance.
  • Initiate registration with the awarding body for the N.V.Q Level 2 and 3.
  • Liaise with the local college to arrange the Technical Certificate and continue contact to ensure the apprentice attends regularly.
  • We will visit the apprentice every 5 to 6 weeks to ensure progression and timely completion of all course work.
  • Provide a dedicated internet facility for the apprentice with detailed assignments and relevant information.
  • Complete all paperwork to register the young person with the Skill Funding Agency and ensure compliance with the Government bodies.
  • Initiate assessment and vetting of the young person/s before interviews are carried out by you.
  • Develop a training plan which will meet company and apprentice requirements.
  • Provide ongoing support to all parties to ensure no problems arise during training.

This service is free of charge.

Did you know that you may be eligible for a £1500 grant if you offer an Apprenticeship to anybody within the above criteria.
