Our recent open day at the British Engineering Manufacturers Association
(BEMA) centre at Yate, near Bristol, showcased the training work
apprentices there undertake for blue-chip companies from across the West
of England.
BEMA provides bespoke training for people wanting to
make their way in the engineering sector and with staff who are industry
experts and a range of up-to-date tools and machinery, its courses are
recognised as second to none.
More than 100 people attended the evening, including the engineers-of-tomorrow from more than 20 schools. Employers
including Sulzer; McBraida; Broadway Engineering; Crown Conveyors;
Rotork; Apex Pumps; Graphic Packaging; Compressor Systems and Bradman
Lake met interested parties and stressed the employability of
apprentices trained through BEMA.
