An award-winning designer and manufacturer of unique, modular, remote controlled dolly systems is looking to expand their team with a Manufacturing Production Engineer with previous manufacturing experience.

They create new and innovative ways to move cameras in film, TV and VR. Their team consists of cameramen, production managers, technology lovers and remote vehicle fanatics.

They are now established as the leaders in robotic dolly technology and are the creators of the first stabilised rig to move VR cameras. They are a small, but fast-growing company with big plans for the future.

In this hands-on role, you will be managing the day to day running of the workshop and work within the manufacturing team with assembly and supply of company products.

About the role:

  • · Responsibility for managing the workshop ensuring that the day to day production runs smoothly
  • · Assembling robotic camera dolly system components using appropriate hardware (bolts, nuts)
  • · Inserting and/or attaching mechanical sub-assemblies using hand tools and power tools with appropriate hardware (bolts, nuts)
  • · Inserting and/or attaching electrical sub-assemblies and wiring looms using appropriate tools and hardware (soldering iron, wire strippers, bolts, nuts)

About you:

  • · Previous experience in a manufacturing role (essential)
  • · Interested in progressing your career to the next level

  • · Excellent communication skills
  • · Able to problem-solve Able to work to tight deadlines
  • · Knowledge of the above manufacturing process is desirable
  • · Interest in mechanical engineering would be an advantage

Training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Ideally you will already be working in a similar position ready to step into a key role in this rapidly expanding, dynamic young company.

Location: Yate, Bristol, BS37. Salary: £22,000 - £27,000 per annum. Type: Permanent, Full Time, 10am - 6pm
