A self-motivated and flexible Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with mechanical bias.  

You will be working alongside a team of skilled engineers to support the whole manufacturing unit. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Team Leader you will play a key role in reducing machinery down-time within this energetic production environment.

You will be motivated by a technically challenging role.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical, electronic and mechanical maintenance activities
  • Adhere to Preventative Maintenance schedules
  • Support continuous improvement through root cause elimination completing complex repairs effectively and efficiently
  • Liaise directly with manufacturing personnel, Team Leaders and Group Channel Managers
  • Organise ordering of spares or contract labour
  • Record accurately maintenance history and spares usage
  • Work with the team members to ensure that all production aims and objectives are clearly understood and met
  • Identify and manage opportunities for ongoing cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Provide support and cover in the absence of other team members
  • Effectively manage process improvement projects/tasks assigned
  • Negotiate imaginative solutions to short term requests
  • Be available for overtime working and shift changes as and when required per the contract of employment
  • Attend regular maintenance and communications meetings
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment in line with Health & Safety guidelines
